First Steps to Obtaining CBT Treatment

Please telephone our helpful reception staff who will be pleased to offer you an appointment to attend for an initial appointment. You will normally be offered an assessment appointment within 7 working days of your call.

The assessment appointment will last between 50 - 60 minutes. The objective of this appointment will be to assist the psychologist with the collecting of specific information. This will help the psychologist in understanding the presenting problem that you are seeking assistance with.

At the end of the assessment you will normally be provided with a treatment plan based on the information you have given. The treatment plan will provide a clear conceptualisation of the presenting problem, together with the recommended method of reducing/resolving the problem, the number estimated of sessions needed and the fees for treatment.

You will be asked to review the plan (which you may take with you) and should you then decide to embark on the recommended course of treatment, further appointments will be scheduled taking into account your diary commitments.

Duration of Treatment

CBT treatment varies in length. It is dependent on the presenting difficulty and the individual's response. Average duration of treatment is between 6 and 8 sessions. Each session normally lasts between 50 and 60 minutes.

Fees

Individual therapy £110.00 per session - various payment options are available.
